Ben's - Midtown / Manhattan

It's a solid sandwich.  Maybe not as spiced or as "creamy" as some of the others, but it's good pastrami.  It was my go-to place when visiting the city before moving in last fall, but now that I've had so many sandwiches elsewhere, Ben's will be lower on my totem poll of places to go.  If you find their sandwich not flavorful enough, consider ordering hot peppers on the side and adding them to the sandwich for a nice kick. I do like their coleslaw.  One of the better ones I've had, but I guess I can save that for someone with a coleslaw blog.

  1. My experience was worse than yours I guess. The pastrami was very fatty but not in a nice creamy melt in your mouth way.. instead it's the kind of sandwich you have to chew for hours.
