Fine & Shapiro - UWS / Manhattan

Fine & Shapiro may surprisingly be the only kosher deli on the Upper West Side of Manhattan!  Sliced very thin but on the fattier side, their pastrami initially tasted pretty close to 2nd Ave's, but by the end, it disappointingly tasted liked warmed up regular 'ol pastrami, which I'm not a big fan of.  Additionally, they had the worst rye bread of any of the sandwiches samples.  It was dry, not that soft, and had caraway seeds.  I am NOT a fan of caraway seeds :(

Because my friend ordered a bowl of matzah ball soup and I did not, they generously provided me a bowl of soup on the house; however, the broth itself tasted like the kind you'd make from a powdered mix purchased at the store... Meh.

Also, on another occasion, I ordered the "Southern fried chicken in a basket."  It was too bad that the coating was relatively bland because it came with an obscene amount of chicken; I easily ate the amount three people should consume and still had leftovers for a lunch or two!
